Following Forest owls
and tree hollows in the
western u.s.
Are you ready to learn about how owl research is done in one of the most biologically rich environments in the United States?
Follow educators on a weeklong journey to research owls at the Southwestern Research Center in the Chiricahua Mountains in Arizona.
Research Aim: Characterize cavity distribution, densities, and life-cycles in different forest types to better understand how these factors are influenced by different forests and climate change and ultimately how this impacts the cavity nesting community-particularly in small owls (Dave Oleyar, PhD).
